Position Overview
Are you a storyteller at heart with a passion for people, events, and strategy? The Communications Team is offering a standout co-op opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented student to contribute to the way we connect with our people, partners, and passengers. This isn’t just a support role, you’ll be at the table helping plan events, craft messaging, and bring key organizational initiatives to life.
From internal campaigns and media messaging to event planning and editorial calendars, you'll help drive strategic communications that shape YVR’s story – and learn how communications plays a critical role in delivering on our purpose: to serve our community.
What You’ll be Doing
- Support the development of communications plans tied to organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Plan and execute events from start to finish – coordinating logistics, managing invites, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Write content for various audiences and channels, including YVR.ca, internal communications, media materials, and airport-wide messaging.
- Build and maintain a calendar of events, editorial pieces, and communications activations that align with YVR’s storytelling strategy.
- Organize and manage digital assets and communications files, helping the team stay organized and efficient.

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
