Position Overview

Are you a curious and driven engineering student looking to gain experience that bridges technical insight, project management, and real-world infrastructure planning? YVR’s b is offering a 4-month co-op opportunity that puts you at the center of strategic initiatives shaping the future of our airport’s critical systems.

From massive fleets and passenger movers to generators and airfield assets, you’ll play a hands-on role in enhancing the way YVR manages, maintains, and plans its infrastructure – now and for decades to come.

What You’ll Gain:

• Real-world project management experience, including stakeholder engagement, meeting coordination, and schedule tracking
• Exposure to infrastructure systems and capital planning at one of Canada’s busiest airports
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems like Maximo, and data visualization tools like Power BI
• A chance to learn and apply LEAN, change management, and process improvement practices
• Skills that set you apart in asset lifecycle management, data governance, and strategic planning

What You’ll Be Working On:

• Support the development of five Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for major asset categories such as Heavy Fleets, Navigational Aids, and People Movers
• Contribute to Digital Asset Management Plans, including building a condition and criticality database to support data-driven dashboards
• Assist with asset tagging and inventory expansion (from 10,000 to 30,000+), ensuring data integrity across systems
• Help test and optimize updates to the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, improving cross-team functionality
• Participate in broader project management activities, such as tracking budgets, building project schedules, and supporting contract administration

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
