Co-op Student – Operational Strategy and Reporting
Position Overview
The Vancouver Airport Authority has one (1) full-time opportunity for a co-op position in the Operations Department for up to an 4-month term starting May 2025. The successful candidate will develop, analyze, coordinate and implement initiatives that are consistent with, and will facilitate, the Airport Authority’s Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Special Operations (2026 FIFA World Cup Planning):
- Develop a YVR staff engagement road map for the upcoming FWC26
- Support FWC26 key milestone content planning and execution e.g. 1-year to go
- Lead on creating a draft v1 template for a FWC26 Handbook for YVR staff, volunteers and partners including key information on matches, what’s happening in the city, transport, YVR operations etc.
- Support FWC26 operational planning
- Operational Strategy & Reporting:
- Participate in the strategic development of our reporting strategy
- Creating templates for reporting
- Suggest improvements in reporting practices or systems to streamline workflows
- Assist in updating internal procedures for reporting
Key Qualifications include:
The individual will have the following:
- strong analytical and communication skills
- enjoys working in an exciting and fast-paced environment
- detail-orientation with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- diplomacy and professionalism
- demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and work well independently
- demonstrated commitment to customer service and excellence

Salary Range : $24.08/hr + Living Wage top up to $27.05/hr
